Macroeconomic Forecast Widening Current Account Deficit

BMI View: We forecast strong growth for both exports and imports in 2008, with the former growing by 17% y-o-y and the latter by 20% y-o-y. In aggregate, this will result in a widening of the current account deficit. We are forecasting a deficit of over 8% of GDP in 2008.
