Macroeconomic Forecast Strong Growth Ahead

We are bullish Tanzania, projecting a continuation of the strong growth seen in the last two years - 2006 growth broke 10% - and forecast 2008 and 2009 real GDP growth rates of 8.0% and 8.1% respectively. Over the same period we see declining inflation, a falling current account deficit and an improving fiscal picture, dividends of the country's political stability and recent efforts to improve the business environment, which ranks 119 out of 167.
