Macroeconomic Forecast Cameroon
May 2007 | Macroeconomic ForecastsWe expect a small fiscal surplus of XAF25bn or 0.3% of GDP this year, although thereafter we believe that as a result of pressures to increase spending coupled with a slower growth in revenues the government will move into deficit. We project a fiscal deficit of 0.5% of GDP in 2008, rising to 1.2% of GDP in 2009.
