Macroeconomic Forecast Sierra Leone

July 2007 | Macroeconomic Forecasts

BMI View: We see real GDP growth moderating slightly to 6.3% y-o-y this year, down from an estimated 6.5% in 2006. We anticipate growth will stay at this still-strong level next year, while inflation will begin to trend down, falling firmly into the single digits. The current account deficit, however, will remain a problem, swelling to an estimated 13.8% of GDP in 2007.
