Macroeconomic Forecast Exports To Outpace Imports
November 2007 | Macroeconomic ForecastsBMI View: We envisage Gabon's exports growing strongly in the coming years, boosted by elevated oil prices. The value of exports is expected to exceed US$7bn by 2009. While imports are also set to increase, they will do so at a slower pace than exports, in our view, enabling Gabon to maintain a healthy current account surplus.
