Jordan scores a good seven out of ten in the public unrest category of our short-term political ratings and the government remains committed to stamping out any opposition to the current administration. Indeed in the last month a number of Christian missionaries have been deported for practising illegal 'preaching activities' that went against the government's approved religious practices. However, in the longer-term such moves could lead to a deterioration in the Kingdom's democratic credentials as highlighted by Jordan's average score of 56.1 in the characteristics of policy category of our long-term
