Tourism Trough
May 2008 | Ratings UpdateKenya's tourist board has reported revenues down by 54% y-o-y for Q108, due to post-election violence. Tourist arrivals fell 45% y-o-y to 274,419 for the quarter, while occupancy rates decreased to an average 30% compared with 86% the previous year. We expect it will take at least a year before tourist arrivals return to their 2007 zenith.
