BMI View: With the price of oil rising from last year, we forecast Gabon's current account surplus to grow from US$1.8bn (18.5% of GDP) in 2007 to US$2.1bn (19.1% of GDP) in 2008. Thereafter we see the current account holding at US$2.1bn in 2009.
