French Winery Enters Local Market

The Ethiopian wine industry is on the verge of experiencing a major production revolution, as French wine group Castel has announced that it will begin production in the country. On the back of growing local demand, the company has decided to begin producing wine in Ethiopia and will start with 125ha of production on the 500ha farm it has acquired rent-free from the Ethiopian government, located south of the capital Addis Ababa.
