Interest Rate Hikes: A Blunt Instrument?
June 2008 | Economic AnalysisBMI View: The official interest rate in Botswana has been increased for the second time in a month. However, given that the country's inflation problem is exogenously-driven, it is debatable whether or not the monetary tightening is anything more than symbolic.
