May inflation declined to 9.1% y-o-y from 9.7% y-o-y in April. Food inflation fell 0.6% m-o-m, while non-food inflation, particularly 'fuel, power and water', rose 1.2% m-o-m and 3.6% m-o-m respectively. Our end-08 forecast sees inflation declining further to 8.8% y-o-y, but we have revised up our average inflation forecast to 9.0% for 2008 from 7.6%, as we do not see inflation dipping below our end-08 target for the rest of the year.
