Inflation On The Rise

BMI View: We expect inflation to enter the double digits in Sudan in 2008, driven by food price rises and fiscal laxity. Moreover, the central bank will find it difficult to rein in price rises through tightening monetary targets, owing to the country's fixed exchange rate against the US dollar.
