Growth To Slow To 3.8% In 2008

BMI View: Data for Q108 give reason to expect that Kenya's economy will bounce back fairly swiftly from damage incurred by post-election unrest, and we are forecasting real GDP growth of 3.8% in 2008. Private consumption growth, however, will be reined in by the rising cost of basic goods, especially food.
