Will Israel Intervene In Gaza?
July 2008 | Political Risk AlertTensions between Hamas and Fatah are rising again, after a bombing which killed five members of the former, as well as a six-year old girl. Hamas blamed its rival Fatah for the attack, and responded by rounding up members of the rival party in Gaza, arresting around 200 and storming the Fatah-run WAFA news agency. In turn, Fatah rounded up dozens of West Bank members of Hamas, and said it was considering declaring Gaza to be a rebel region.
