Economic Conditions Undermine Score

We have instituted our political risk ratings system for Lesotho and the country receives a score of 68.1 and 63.7 respectively in our short- and long-term political risk ratings, a risk profile roughly the same as Sri Lanka or Morocco. The country scores well for its regional security, as it is surrounded by relatively stable South Africa, which has previously sent troops into the country when instability threatened.
