We believe 2008 will be the peak year for Tanzania's current account deficit, at 12.2% of GDP. In 2009, as oil prices fall, we see the deficit narrowing to 10.0% of GDP and then to 8.1% in 2010. Exports are expected to simultaneously receive a boost from the growing mining sector.
