Oman's Minister of Labour Dr Juma bin Ali bin Juma and his Qatari opposite number Dr Sultan bin Hassan al-Dosari signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on labour co-operation in August, which is likely to lead to a significant increase in the number of Omanis nationals migrating to Qatar for work. Already 2,500 Omanis have made the move, tempted by the abundance of employment opportunities in Qatar's fast growing economy. When talking about the MoU, al-Dosari specifically emphasised the 'job opportunities for Omanis in specialised and technical jobs'. There is therefore a risk that the MoU will draw talent away
