Blasts Show Security Will Remain Top Of Agenda
September 2008 | Political Risk AlertReports of two explosions followed by heavy gunfire near the US embassy in the Yemeni capital of Sana'a today (September 17) highlight that even though the government has recently made significant progress in rounding up suspected al-Qaeda militants, security threats remain. As yet, it is unclear who is to blame for the attack, although fingers will most likely be pointed towards al-Qaeda.
