Oil Price Drop: Severe Implications

Most of Iran's export revenues come from the oil sector and with little capacity to increase production levels, the global oil price is of crucial significance to the balance of payments outlook. In the event of a price collapse to US$50/bbl next year, the current account will fall into deficit.
