BMI View: The relatively peaceful passing of the September 5 legislative elections bodes well for short-term stability and investor confidence. We have revised up Angola's short-term political risk rating to 69.8 from a previous 65.2, reflecting diminished risk to policy continuity thanks to the MPLA's likely extension of power.
