North African Ministers To Discuss Terror Threat
September 2008 | Political Risk AlertForeign ministers from the Maghreb region will meet with US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, currently taking place in New York. The meeting will reportedly focus on the issue of terrorism and the perceived growing threat from al-Qaeda and affiliated groups in North Africa. The region has received increased attention from the US in recent months - Rice visited Libya, Tunisia, Morocco and Algeria in early September.
