Developments in South African politics are unlikely to make much of a difference to the Zimbabwean situation, which is mired in an impasse. The power-sharing deal moved the country a step closer to democracy, but the deal lacks the specifics to warrant much confidence. Only implementation will convince the sceptics, including BMI.
