Fiscal Surplus To Narrow In 2008
September 2008 | Economic AnalysisOn the back of higher than anticipated oil prices and a decision to pay off foreign debt, we are forecasting Gabon's 2008 fiscal expenditure and revenue to be significantly above trend, with the fiscal surplus shrinking from 10.4% of GDP to 3.3% of GDP. Past 2008, we see expenditure and revenue returning to more typical levels.
