Weathering The Global Downturn
September 2008 | Economic AnalysisWe have slightly revised down our 2008 and 2009 growth forecasts to 7.7% and 7.8% respectively on the back of the global economic slowdown. That said, Tanzania is reasonably well-situated to cope with the slowing international economy, thanks to the small share of external trade with the EU and US, favourable commodity exports, and the relatively low dependence on FDI for investment.
