The US embassy has warned that early October could be a dangerous time for foreign nationals in Lebanon, with 'the potential for groups or individuals to undertake violent actions targeting Americans'. However, there is no evidence that the warning reflects any intelligence of a specific threat. The message was posted on the embassy's website last week, and if anything, the general threat is likely to be receding following the Eid holiday.
