BMI View: The ongoing trial of French politicians allegedly involved in illegal sales of arms to Angola in the early 1990s may bring a worsening of bilateral relations. Perceptions of corruption in Angola could be heightened owing to the bribes reportedly accepted by Angolan diplomats including President Dos Santos.
