October 2008 | Ratings UpdateIn October, Australia became the latest foreign government to warn of the increasing risk of a terror strike in the UAE. It amended advice to travellers on the basis of 'new information', which implied a higher threat of attacks to coincide with the end of Ramadan (although Eid celebrations passed peacefully). The Australian warning extended to the entire Arabian Peninsula and Jordan, but it is not the first country to suggest an increased terror threat in the UAE.
