BMI View: The ongoing 'green revolution' and the onset of uranium production in late 2008, will help to deliver real GDP growth of a forecast 6.7% in 2009 for Malawi. Macroeconomic weaknesses including a fiscal deficit and elevated inflation are set to persist, however.
