BMI View: We have reduced our forecast for real GDP growth in Ethiopia, on the back of a significant worsening in the outlook for global growth. We now see economic expansion of 6.1% in 2009, down from an estimated 9.3% in 2008. The nation will suffer low commodity earnings, and subdued private investment over the coming year, in our view.
