No Easing Of Press, Religious Freedoms In Sight

While generally viewed as being more socially moderate than many of its Arab counterparts, Morocco's restrictions on press, religious and personal freedoms are unlikely to be relaxed in the short term. Furthermore, a clampdown on non-official religions has the potential to impact foreign relations, most notably with Shi'a-dominated Iran.
