Exporters Call For Help

Mauritian exporters are calling for more favourable economic policies to protect their industry from the fallout of the global recession. At the Mauritius Export Association's annual general meeting on April 9, the chairman of the association stated 'further reductions of interest rates, a more competitive currency and eventually, a downward review of the costs of utilities are indeed elements of our survival kit that will need to be triggered to preclude further job losses.'
