Brink Of Catastrophe?

A coalition of relief organisations working in Madagascar have reportedly warned that the nation is on the brink of 'catastrophe'. The group highlighted that prolonged instability has followed the mid-March coup, exacerbating chronic food shortages and damage incurred by recent cyclones. We share these concerns, having sharply lowered Madagascar's political risk ratings since the unconstitutional change of power. So far, there is little evidence of policy formation and enactment, and we have accordingly downgraded further the nation's score in the 'policy-making process' component of our short-term political risk
