Security Gains To Lure Investment
August 2009 | BMI ViewDespite our gloomy outlook for the global economy - we see global growth coming in at -2.5% in 2009, with only a modest recovery in 2010 - Iraq is set to be quite an outlier. Indeed, we expect Iraq's post-war economic recovery to continue and growth to hold up strongly, aided in large part by the improving security situation. We forecast real GDP growth to average 5.8% over the five-year forecast period.
