Consumer price growth in Botswana continued to slow in July to 6.0% y-o-y, the upper end of the Bank of Botswana's target band. While rising food and fuel costs may put m-o-m pressure on prices, base effects of the Q408 rise in the alcohol levy should keep headline CPI growth anchored in the region of 6.7% by end-09.
