In late September, Morocco's security services arrested 24 members of an alleged terrorist network that had recruited suicide bombers and guerrilla fighters for al-Qaeda in Iraq, Somalia and Afghanistan. The interior ministry said in a statement that the Moroccan network coordinated 'with terrorists in Sweden, Belgium and the Syria-Iraq zone'.
