Prisoner Release Adds To Succession Debate

The renouncement of violence by Libya's most notorious Islamist militant group, and the subsequent release of several of its members, is a political coup for the Libyan government. In the long term, the real winner could be Saif al-Islam Qadhafi, the leader's son, who may well make a formal return to the top echelons of government soon.
