Beneath SWAPO Victory, A Growing Desire For Reform

Although we have not changed our core view that SWAPO will score an easy victory in the forthcoming November 27 elections In Namibia, a shift in the underlying political dynamic is now more apparent. In our view, the shift is being driven by a combination of demographic and economic factors, and will see SWAPO's dominance challenged more forcefully over the coming years.
