Food Shortages To Remain An Issue

Despite the DRC's vast quantity of arable land, we do not see any end to the food crisis that has been plaguing the country since the mid 1990s. Food shortages are the result of insufficient credit for farmers, weak property rights, and the threat that any idle stocks will be looted.
