We estimate that Tunisia's current account deficit shrank to 2.7% of GDP in 2009, down from a confirmed 7.0% of GDP shortfall in 2008. We are pencilling deficits of 2.9% and 2.8% of GDP respectively in 2010 and 2011, which should be comfortably covered by surpluses on the financial account.
