Despite a late January sell-off in the shilling, we believe that the unit will follow a broadly appreciatory trajectory in 2010, with our year-end forecast set at KES72.50/US$. This will be driven by improving demand for Kenyan exports as well as increasing investment flows into the country as credit eases and domestic fundamentals improve.
