Macroeconomic Forecast Sudan

January 2010 | Macroeconomic Forecasts

Sudan saw a period of disinflation in the latter part of 2009 with y-o-y headline inflation falling from a high of 14.5% in August to 13.4% in December. We expect this disinflationary trend to continue in 2010 and have set year-end target of 8.0% y-o-y. Upside risks to this forecast emanate from the excess liquidity generated by higher oil prices and increasing foreign capital inflows.
