Following a recapitalisation by the IMF and other development partners in September 2009, the Banque Centrale du Congo's (BCC) reserves now stand at US$875mn. Given that we expect the DRC to run a current account deficit equivalent to 9.2% of GDP in 2010, it will need to attract a substantial amount of foreign investment to cover the shortfall. We have set a tentative end-2010 target for reserves of US$840, which implies a modest deficit in the overall balance of payments
