Saudi Arabia's current account will continue to outperform by historical and comparative standards. After a small hiccup in 2009, when we estimate that the current account surplus fell to a mere US$55.5bn (13.1% of GDP), we are forecasting prodigious surpluses of US$109.8bn (21.2% of GDP) and US$106.5bn (19.5% of GDP) in 2010 and 2011 respectively.
