Rising Discontent

Madagascar's security forces arrested 19 people alleged to have been involved in plotting a coup on April 18. According to Lieutenant Colonel Rene Lylison, the head of the security unit that arrested the accused, the plan was to attack the residence of Prime Minister Camille Vital. He added that the aim was 'to kill, and divide the military'.
