May 2010 | Political Risk AnalysisBMI View: We are highly concerned over the political environment in Madagascar, following the conclusion of yet another round of unfruitful negotiations held between the country's political protagonists. With President Andry Rajoelina having declared that the time for talks is over, and now seemingly set to unilaterally form a new government, we expect a protracted period of political stalemate, or in the worst case scenario, military intervention.
