he latest statistics released by the National Statistics Institute (INE) show that Consumer price inflation (CPI) rose to 9.6% y-o-y in April 2010, up from 2.0% in December. This equates to an average inflation rate (on a m-o-m basis) of 1.9% for the first four months of the year and has led us to upwardly revise our year-end inflation forecast for this year and next.
