BMI View: With an economy based largely on oil production, we expect Gabon to perform well throughout 2010 as global demand for oil rebounds. However, we believe that new efforts to diversify the Gabonese economy will not pay dividends in the short term, which will leave the country vulnerable to decreasing global oil demand over the medium term.
