Mortgage Law Delayed, But Domestic Demand Still Looks Solid

BMI View: The decision by Saudi Arabia's parliament to shelve the mortgage law is disappointing, and bodes ill for the recovery of bank lending in the Kingdom. However, the ongoing housing shortage underscores our view that domestic demand and inflation will be higher than elsewhere in the region.
