According to the latest GDP report released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), Nigeria's economy expanded by an impressive 7.2% y-o-y in Q110, on a par with the strongest quarters of growth in 2009. Although seasonal factors related to agriculture have historically seen growth dip in the first quarter of the year, a sharp rebound in the oil sector helped lift the overall reading well above the 4.5% recorded in Q109.
