Low Cost Housing Demand Presents Growth Potential

While Bahrain's property market suffers from the same issues of investor apathy and oversupply affecting much of the region, there nonetheless exists a strong demand for low-cost housing construction. An over-emphasis on mid to high-end construction during the property boom has brought about a shortage of low income housing, according to reports, with some 47,000 Bahraini nationals on waiting lists for government housing.
